I have had this dryer for 3 weeks now. I love the dry sensor so my clothes arent getting overdried. There is amanual dry setting as well if I have something I want to dry longer such as a comforter. The light in the drum is a very nice feature. Also the door can open from the side or fold down slightly to toss something in quickly. Love the wifi feature as well. Also the dry time usually takes the same time as the washer takes to wash so I can get through several loads of laundry in a timely manner. Love this dryer

So far so-so

We bought this dryer and the WT7405CW washer. The dryer arrive DOA sort of. It would turn on but it would not start. I called LG support. They had me run a diagnostic and that revealed that the dryer thought the door was not closed but it was closed. Back it went to Lowes and a new one arrived a few days later. That one worked but... I happened to rest my hand on the top of the door while the dryer was running and when I did that the dryer stopped I touched the start button and it started up again. I gently touched the top of the door where I had rested my hand before and the dryer stopped again I barely touched it. I opened the door and looked at the inside of the door where it meets the door switch. Theres a land on the door which is a small protrusion that pushes on the door switch. Apparently the land was a bit shallow so I added a small piece of metal on top of the land about 1/16 thick with double sided tape and that fixed the problem. So I guess this dryer is some assembly required. We washed a full load of towels in our new washer and put them in the dryer. When the dryer had stopped the display had a d80 showing. The dryer manual says this indicates 80 blockage of the exhaust duct and to have the duct cleaned. The problem is we had the duct cleaned before installing our new dryer. Some Internet research yielded interesting results. Apparently the dryer determines duct blockage not by air flow as you would think but rather by temperature. We noticed that the now dry load of towels completely filled the dryer drum. So our guess is that this somehow restricted air flow resulting in increased temperature in the dryer which led to the d80 error code displayed. Youd think a 7.3 cubic foot capacity dryer could handle a full load from a much smaller 5.3 cubic foot washer but apparently thats not the case. Other than that were pretty happy with the dryer. I did the install myself after seeing horrendous job the Lowes installers did with the first DOA dryer.

Another Beautiful Machine in all Demintions

It was exceptionally well made everything was tight and it was a quiet operation with excellent engineering. It takes up less space while providing a larger load capability. The control features are excellent especially the ability for the machine to monitor dryness. I selected this variety because of the color primarily but it included more features than I thought I would use. While I very much wanted the energy-saving features to include specific drying routines for the various types of clothing and materials. What surprised me was the convenience of the WiFi feature. The ability to monitor the dryer when away from the home removes the concern of leaving the clothes half-done and freeing me up to go out and get other things done.

Beware of Annoying Design Flaw IMO

Very happy with the performances and appearance of the dryer. Very easy to use controls and like the two-way door. However really disappointed to find out it does not have an interior light that works automatically. Interior light only works if you open the dryer door within a few minutes of it stopping. If dryer has stopped for any length of time and you open the door to remove the clothes it stays dark inside. To get it to turn on you have to turn on the dryer power and also turn on the dryer light button a two step process. I dont think this could be any more inconvenient especially if your dryer is in a some what dim basement as ours is. I checked with LG and indeed this is the only way to get the light to go on. In all my years of doing laundry Ive never seen a dryer where the interior light didnt come on as you open the dryer door. At this price point this is nuts.

Like its washer mate I dont like that you have to pick a setting every time you dry something. The flow sense censor cam on immediately when we purchased it three weeks ago. Had the dryer vent cleaner come out and clean it out. Was throwing a d80 code. The guy said it was not blocked as much as it was saying. It still is saying that its blocked. I have googled how to turn that sensor off so that my clothes will dry. Seems to take a long time to dry the clothes. Trying to like it but not so sure

Dryer - Excellent Customer Svc - Not so much

I bought this 2 months ago Mar. 10 2023 and the dryer performance has been excellent except for one minor issue - we keep getting an *n90* error when drying towels or bedding. It dries them just fine but we get an error that indicates that there is a clog in the dryer vent which there isnt because we had the vent cleaned prior to the dryer being installed. . . . .... In speaking with LG Customer Service I get conflicting information. One agent tells me that the error is normal when drying heavy items like bedding or towels and that we should dry those items on *Heavy Duty* as that is the cycle that was designed for those items. Note - This dryer has both a *Heavy Duty* cycle and a *Bedding* cycle. and that I can ignore the error code. . . . . ..... The error keeps occurring so I contact LG Customer Service again and am asked to run a couple of checks to make sure that the dryer is functioning properly. I perform the requested actions and let the CSR know the results of the checks. He indicates that the dryer should be checked by a service technician and sends me a text message asking to verify my information and that he would arrange for a technician to come and take a look at the dryer. That was 5-6 weeks ago and I still havent heard from LG. . . . . ..... This dryer and washer were purchased to replace a 20-ish year-old LG set which we had no problems with. We sometimes wonder if it we made a wise choice in purchasing a so-called *Smart* dryer as it seems to have problems that were not present with our old unit. . . . . ..... I probably would have rated this *5 stars* had it not been for the abysmal customer service that I received as described above. But customer service is a part of the experience of a product and bad customer service reflects badly on the product itself.

Overall works well

Overall have been very happy with this machine. It dries the clothes thoroughly has the option to use very high or low heat and I can just use a timer setting as well. I love the light on the inside and how the door can be opened 2 different ways. Overall very pleased with my purchase.

Tried to catch fire

I have had this dryer for only 1-2 months and have barely been able to use it.... We were having issues with it smelled like it was burning we unplugged it and called for repair. They found nothing wrong and said it was fine. We continued to have problems and now it wont run at all. Called repair out for a second time and the picture shows what they found. The repair man says that it is an external part and not covered even though it is in the dryer. Who knows what damage that did to other parts as well and thank god we were home or else the whole house could be gone. I really dont want the part to be covered I want a whole new dryer at this point I loved the dryer but I need one that works and does not want to burn down the house
